In Search of the True Self

Part One

Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? Fair questions we will all ask in our lifetime. For Christ-followers, our journey toward objective reality and wholeness (Truth) must begin and end at the foot of His cross.   (read all of Part 1)

Part Two                                                                                                                                                       Summer 2000

March 23rd marked the successful completion of our initial CROSSCURRENT group, while on May 16th we concluded our second Living Waters program.  After meeting together weekly for eight and thirty weeks respectively, twenty men and women had a greater understanding and acceptance of  the intimate, unconditional love of our '"Abba"  Father!  (read all of Part 2)

Part Three

In previous issues I reported on various ministry aspects related to Greater Hope. Part Six                            BITTERSWEET

We recently passed the mid-way point in our current Living Waters course, with nine participants and three leaders. This has been a bittersweet time for some, particularly due to the numerous issues we will address during our nearly twenty-five weeks together. The bitter can range from coming face to face with devastating memories, suppressed emotions, selfish attitudes and idolatry in many forms.     (read all of Part 6)

Part Seven

God has been revealing His mercy to me at deeper levels these days. Or maybe I have been more willing to receive it. Because I operate in the counseling field, I would like to think that mercy is at the top of my motivational gifts list. However, God is showing me this is not the case.   (read all of Part 7)

Part Eight

There is a portion of Scripture that describes well Greater Hope’s purpose as an extension of Christ’s Body. It is found in Isaiah 61:1-3. .....This scripture is truly evident in the lives being touched and changed through our counseling services and ministry groups!  (read all of Part 8)

Part Nine

It’s all about perspective

A good friend of mine recently sent me this humorous scenario entitled Is Your Car Missing a 710?  (read all of Part 9)
